Old Onomea Hānai Farm is a dream creation in progress. Onomea Bay is our bay and our street is Old Onomea. "Ono" means delicious in Hawaiian and "mea" mean beautiful! The dream is to live in nature, grow food for the community and share with our hānai (chosen) family. Michelle, Ryan, Maddi & Abby moved to Hawai’i to make this dream come true. The land unknowingly contained a legacy palm garden and we are so excited to take care of this amazing piece of nature as well.

  • Build the living structures

    We are building a small house, two ohanas and a garage. We are using a variety of cool earth friendly technology.

  • Breadfruit

    We have 20 mature ‘ulu or breadfruit trees that need to be trimmed and cared for.

  • Farm

    We are researching what to plant for the kitchen garden and also the farm. So many options!
